Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family. Mrs. Shore passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Springdale Healthcare Center of Camden. She was born on June 9, 1921 in Bishopville to the late James and Bertha Troublefield Hancock. Mrs. Shore enjoyed spending time with her husband, Fred W Shore after retiring as a civil servant until his death in 1994. She loved her squirrels and birds and religiously made sure they were well fed. Mrs. Shore was a member of Shandon Baptist Church. A kind and caring woman whom will be missed by all. Myrtle is survived by a brother, Bruce Hancock of Sumter. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, extend family and close friends. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Idell Brown and Melissa Coulter; brothers, R.B. Hancock and Clayton Hancock.
