Robinson, 86, widow of Clelan Robinson, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Fallie C. Roberson and Celestia Driggers Roberson. Mrs. Robinson was a member of Jefferson Road Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Paulette Conyers (R.L.) of Dalzell, Claudette Willis of Coward, Susan Hamm (Steve) and Vera Gainey, both of Sumter; a son, Preston Robinson of Sumter; one brother, Hilton Roberson (Leevola) of Columbia; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Riley; a sister, Violet Morris; and a grandson, Richard Conyers. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Road Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Gilbert and the Rev. Rusty Conyers officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 230 Myrtle Beach Highway.
