Born on Nov. 10, 1947, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Marion Kolb Jr. and Flora Lillie Mae Mitchum Turner. He was employed at Santee Print Works for 22 years and retired from Federal Mogul in 2006. He was a hard worker, a loving father and a good provider for his family. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include three sons, Torrey M. Kolb (Kali), Jason B. Kolb (Karen) and Wyatt N. Kolb; grandchildren, Blaine, Gunner, Kristen and Michael; and half-sisters, Sherry Kolb and Debra Kolb Painter. He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Mark Kolb. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
