Clinnon Franklin Bowers, age 75, beloved husband of Peggy Knight Bowers, died on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cassatt, a son of the late William Perry Bowers and Lula Peach Bowers. He was a former quality control supervisor for Korn Industies and will always be remembered as a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Joel Bowers, Billy Bowers, Ricky Bowers and Steven Bowers, all of Sumter; two daughters, Darlene Robinson and her husband, Ray, of Cassatt and Libby Regalado and her husband, Roger, of Sumter; a brother, Perry Bowers Jr. and his wife, Rhodie, of Cassatt; a sister, Ailene Ray of Cassatt; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Green officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Bochette, Ronnie Bochette, B.J. Bowers, John Geddings, Clint Humphries, Ray Robinson III, Jason Sutton and Tommy Warren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bullock funeral Home and at other times at the family residence.
