DAWKINS MANNING -- Barbara Jane Galloway Dawkins, 58, wife of James Robert Dawkins, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, in Lake Marion Nursing Facility in Summerton. Born Oct. 14, 1946, in Manning, she was a daughter of Marian Geddings Galloway and the late Edward Aaron Galloway. She was a former office manager and office consultant and a member of Paxville Baptist Church. Surviving besides her mother of Sumter and husband of Manning are two sons, Bryan Dawkins and wife, Audra, of Paxville and Kevin Dawkins and wife, Melissa, of Sumter; three grandchildren, Aaron, Phillip and Darren Dawkins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Gene Mosier and the Rev. Mark Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Paxville Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Connor, James Tisdale, Craig Blend, Ronald Prosser, Hank Spigner and Danal Hutson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning and at other times at the residence, 1141 Pocalla Drive, Manning. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Midstate S.C. Chapter, P.O. Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29202-7044. Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning is in charge of arrangements.
