Ardis, 62, husband of Sharon Warren Ardis, died on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born on April 23, 1958, in Sumter, he was a son of Fannie Mae Geddings Ardis and the late Eugene "Buddy" Ardis. He was a member of Shepherd's Chapel Church. He was employed by Santee Print Works for 30 years and later became a truck driver. Survivors include his wife of 39 years; his mother of Sumter; two children, Jonathan E. Ardis (Jennifer) and Jennifer R. Ardis, both of Sumter; and five grandchildren, William, Caileigh, Raina, Lydia and Brenna. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Joe Ardis. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Donnie Hearrell, the Rev. Donna Green and Johnny Lyons officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
