Jon Michauel Bryan has a son Bobby Bryan living in Missouri. Also for correctness our middle is the letter B (not B.). My sister Katrinka B Bryan-Thario (katrinkabryan@yahoo.com) is more interested in genealogy than me.   Sources: (1) Email from Clifford Helbert, dated November 6, 2000. Dear Cousins, I hope that you are able to open the document that I am attaching with this. Recently my wife, Ann and I make a trip to four islands in Hawaii. While we were on Oahu at Honolulu, we visited the memorial built over the Battleship Arizona in Pearl Harbor. I remember as a child that two Bryan cousins were at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed by the Japanese on Dec. 7, 1941. The brothers were on two separate ships. Jimmie D. Bryan witnessed his brother, L. H. sink to his death on the Arizona. When we visited the monument in October I saw the name of L.H. Bryan inscribed on the memorial wall. It was a moving experience. This past weekend my brother, Brad and his wife, visited us from Abilene TX. I told Brad of the experience. Today he called to tell me that he saw the attached obituary in the Abilene newspaper. Brad had his secretary scan and transmit the obituary notice to me. Gorman is a small town near Abilene. You will notice in the obit that Jimmie D. Bryan's remains were being returned to where his brother had died at Pearl Harbor. These brothers were the descendants of my great grandfather Fortunatus William Bryan. Their father ( I think his name was Lawrence) was the son of John D. Bryan, a brother to my grandfather, Jarrett Bryan, and your great or great great grandfather, Josiah (Joe) Bryan. I had often thought of these brothers and wondered what had happened to the surviving brother even though I saw them only one time in my life that I remember. Just before they entered the Navy, their father came with them to visit their aunts, uncles and cousins in Pottsville, TX. My family still lived there at that time. So I thought it strangely coincidental that after almost sixty years that in a period of two weeks I would visit the watery grave of one and read of the other's death and subsequent burial at the same location.
