He entered the U. S. Army on 23 Mar 1999, and attended basic combat training and military police advanced individual training at Fort McClellan, Alabama. Upon completion of AIT, he was assigned to the 728th (MP) Battalion, Camp Henry, Korea, and the 988th and 209th Military Police Companies at Fort Benning, Georgia. He re-classified as a wheel vehicle operator on March 23, 2002. He was assigned to the 104th Transportation Company, 233rd HET Platoon. During his time with the 233rd HET Platoon, he attended muliple training events to include the National Training Center and the Joint Readiness Training Center. He completed two rotations to Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He played a key role in his platoon’s combat readiness. His awards include the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Army Commendation Medal (one oak leaf cluster), the Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal (one oak leaf cluster), the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Gloval War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Army Service Ribbon.
