Marye? jkh Date Published: May 30, 2008 CATHERINE H. MARYE Catherine Hill Marye, 61, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at her mother's home. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Hill and Louise Matilda (Tillie) Johnson Hill. Mrs. Marye was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter. Surviving are two sons, Rufus Franklin Marye of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Robert Hill Marye and wife, Lacey, of Blythewood; two daughters, Sarah Catherine Marye Nicholson and husband, Michael, of Sumter and Marianne Marye Traywick and husband, Jay, of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Marianne Hill Stutz and husband, Jay, of Sumter; five grandchildren, Joseph Bascombe Traywick IV, Wilson Marye Traywick, Benjamin Canby Traywick, Samuel Wise Tatum Traywick and Robert Braden Marye; two nieces, Therese Catherine Stutz Hill and Elizabeth Louise Hill; and two nephews, Matthew Christopher Stutz and Michael Joseph Stutz. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter with the Rev. Dr. John M. Barr and the Rev. Hamilton Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside services at the Parish Hall at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter.
