He was the son of the late Christopher Lewis and Joni Kester Lewis. Ryan was born in Sumter and graduated from Crestwood High School. He received degrees from ECPI in Virginia and was a process engineer, most recently with SWM in Prosperity. Surviving are his children, William Lewis, Ray Lewis and Ryan Lewis Jr.; a sister, Bonnie Phelps; a stepbrother, David Ice; a stepsister, Renee Ice; partner of 11 years, Amanda J. Gainey; and a host of family members and friends. Ryan was also predeceased by grandparents, William M. and Loye Strange Lewis and John L. and Madge Brunson Kester, and stepmother, Ida Hodge Lewis.
