Posted Friday, September 25, 2020 6:00 am ALCOLU - Hugh Raymond "Juke" Thompson Jr., 66, husband of Deborah Dianne Ridgeway Thompson, died on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born on Dec. 8, 1953, in Manning, he was a son of the late Hugh Raymond Thompson Sr. and Lila Sue Jackson Thompson. He was a member of Clarendon Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 29 years; one son, Hugh Raymond Thompson III of Alcolu; one daughter, Laci Dawn Thompson of Manning; one brother, Jerry Rex Thompson (Marilyn) of Lake Lure, North Carolina; one sister, Gayle T. Byers (Art) of Blythewood; one nephew, Jeromy; and three nieces, Jenny, Jill and Joy. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Trinity Cemetery, Alcolu, with the Rev. Kirk Carlisle officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Welch, Jonathan Welch, Wayne Link, Bob Carter, Wayne Pelfrey, Wayne Bryant and Davis Welch.
