Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late Ralph Haynesworth Geddings and Gladys Adele Morris Geddings. Moody was a very active and faithful member of Grace Full Gospel Church. He loved attending church and fellowshipping with his church family. Moody worked for with the B.L. Montague Co. where he held many different positions and retired after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed watching old western movies and loved fishing. However, his true joy in life was spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew hm. Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Bobbie; two sons, Donald Ray Geddings and his wife Kimberly of Cincinnati, OH, and Ronald Kay Geddings of Sumter; five grandchildren, Britney Bardon and her husband Chad, Tanya Krystal Geddings, Nicholas Wright, Taylor Geddings, and Katlyn Geddings; four great grandchildren, Cody, Hudson, Levi, and Anna, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Huey Geddings, and Ralph Haynesworth Geddings, and a sister, Anna Margaret Haycock. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Smith and Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. The interment will follow the service in the Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service, on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 am at Bullock Funeral Home.
