| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina 4325 U.S. 15 South, Sumter County, South Carolina HAZEL EDWARD MCLEOD Posted Thursday, November 5, 2020 6:00 am Hazel Edward McLeod, 93, widower of Dorothy Virginia Dennis McLeod, died on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Archie Hampton McLeod and Betty Jean Poole McLeod. Mr. McLeod retired from Santee Print Works and he was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Edward McLeod (Nancy) and Allen R. McLeod (Cissy), both of Sumter; four daughters, Mary Louise Hodge (Sidney) of Manning, Virginia Mims of Sumter, Betty Diane King (John) of Elloree and Margaret Ann Smith (Don) of Dalzell; two sisters, Mabelle Wilkerson of Texas and Betty Jean McLeod of Sumter; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Wells Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Memorials may be sent to the SPCA, 1140 S.
