• Notes

  He entered the banking business in Madison County, Georgia, in 1903 and became associated with the Calhoun National Bank in 1904. In 1905 he was made cashier and was named president in 1920. He held that position until his death. Former State Senator- He represented the 43rd district in the state senate in 1921-1922 and again in 1927. He was mayor protem of Calhoun, Georgia, in 1918 and was instrumental in securing a good deal of paving for the city. He has served on the Calhoun Board of Education and was a member of Governor Ed River’s staff. [7]
