| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina Date Published: January 13, 2009 BRADFORD E. GARRIS Bradford Eugene Garris, 67, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Bradford Franklin Garris and Lois Lawrence Garris. Mr. Garris attended Open Bible Baptist Church. Surviving are four brothers, Manford Garris and wife, Betty, of Sumter, William A. Garris and wife, Pam, of Lynchburg, Glen I. Garris and wife, Ruby, of Sykesville, Md., and Timothy A. Garris and wife, Brenda, of Sumter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Hummel officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be G.P. Goff, Calvin Carraway, Allen Collins, James Rhodes, Tommy Johnson and Jeff Dyson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of his brother, 3385 Cains Mill Road.
