Born in Sumter, he was a son of Annie Mae Oxendine Miller and the late Leverne Benenhaley. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, John Miller of Sumter; brothers and sisters, Ralph Oxendine, Angie O. Kaldro, Scottie Oxendine, Sherry O. Sanborn, Luann O. Holliday and Mandy O. Chapman, all of Sumter; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mansfield and Nellie Oxendine. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, in the chapel of Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with Major M. Newton Brown and Bobby Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Long Branch Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Toby Lee Oxendine, Leon P. McCoy, Michael McCoy, Gary Sanborn, Randy Browder and Barry Brinson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, 1410 Camp Branch Road.
