Posted Saturday, March 4, 2023 6:00 am Victor Hazen Donald Jr., 66, beloved husband of 46 years to Virginia "Ginger" McCollum Donald, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, at his home in Sumter surrounded by his wife and daughters. Mr. Donald was born in Ft. Gordon, Georgia, a son of the late Victor Hazen Donald Sr. and Evelyn Walker. He loved hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, old movies and family, especially his grandchildren. Victor will be missed by his family and friends. Surviving in addition to his wife are: two daughters, Chrissy Lamontagne and Desiree Hawkins and her husband, Adam, all of Sumter; one sister, Mildred Branham of Rincon, Georgia; and three grandchildren, Keirstyn Rogers, Kaezlyn Hawkins and AJ Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Florence Cribb. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Bullock Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Geddings and the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Alexander, Jeremy Shirley, Tommy Cribb, Gene Langley, Ricky Weatherly and Bill Branham. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Bullock Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to South Carolina Oncology Associates Foundation, 166 Stoneridge Dr., Columbia, SC 29210.
