HUGH FRANK McFADDIN Jr.
Hugh Frank McFaddin Jr., 71, husband of Sylvia Murrell McFaddin, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Hugh Frank Sr. and Dorothy DuBose McFaddin. Mr. McFaddin was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon and elder and was elected elder emeritus.
Surviving are his wife of Sumter; a son, Hugh Michael McFaddin and wife, Pamela, of North Augusta; a daughter, Beth McFaddin Byce and husband, Steve, of Simpsonville; three brothers, Jack McFaddin of Manning, Charles McFaddin and Henry McFaddin, both of Sumter; a sister, Jane Francis of Columbia; and four grandchildren, Alex McFaddin, Michael McFaddin, Kent Byce and Elizabeth Byce.
He was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Mark Durrett, the Rev. John Dodd, and the Rev Pec Chatham officiating.
Burial will be in Gable Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 422 Haynsworth St.
