Born in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Joe Dickson and the late Jo Emily Pack. Demma loved all animals and enjoyed gardening and her plants. She was an avid reader of mysteries, especially Agatha Christie novels. Demma served Sumter County for over 13 years as a deputy coroner. She is survived by; two sons, Richard Allen Cason II (Caitlin) of Sumter and Philip Elwood Truell, III (Leilah Gainey) of Lugoff; a daughter, Emmaleigh Elayne Jackson of Sumter; three grandchildren, Dominick McIntosh, Marlee Black, and Mia Ingram and special friends, Jan Bell, Kathy Stoudenmire, and Desiree Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by, her daughter, Beth Coker, a brother, Shane Dickson and a sister, Sara D. Foxworth. A direct interment will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the Greenhaven Preserve, 1701 Vanboklen Rd, Eastover, SC 29044.
