| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina PATSY L. DICKERSON Posted Tuesday, July 19, 2016 6:00 am Patsy Long Dickerson, 85, widow of W.L. "Roy" Dickerson and L. Howard Hudson, died on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born in Denver, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James Gordon Bennett Long and Zella Howard Long. Mrs. Dickerson attended Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include three children, Joel D. Hudson (Susan) of Concord, North Carolina, Denise Hodge (Kenny) of Charlotte and David Hudson of Lincolnton, North Carolina; one stepdaughter, Patsy K. Dailey (Doug) of Greer; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today in Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 107 Westpark Blvd. No. 220, Columbia, SC 29210. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. [1, 2] | |
