BOYCE Victoria R. Boyce, 87, widow of Charles Theodore Boyce, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2008. Born April 10, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Janie Rose Revill and the late Joseph Andrew Revill. Mrs. Boyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devout Christian. Her life touched many people around her. Survivors include four daughters, Katherine Herring (Charlie) of Sumter, T.J. Harvey (Jim) of Deltona, Fla., Charlene Ogle (Glen) of Sumter and Elaine Strickland (Jimmy) of Columbia; a sister, Vivian Burress of Columbia; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Open Bible Church on Old Manning Road with Pastor Larry Hummel and the Rev. Dean Strickland officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Herring. Pallbearers will be Jeff Gibson, J.T. Harvey, Kip Barrena, James Dean Strickland, Thomas R. Page and Jimmy Strickland. Memorials may be made to Open Bible Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 180 Old Manning Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
