  HIST	of Sumter, South Carolina Rosa Lee H. Kirby Rosa Lee Hardin Kirby, age 91, beloved wife of the late James K. Kirby, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Sumter Valley Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Lee County, a daughter of the late John and Dessie Brown Hardin. She formerly worked for Polly Prentice, loved to work in the yard and will always be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Mae Ardis and her companion, Jim W. Geddings; a grandson, William James "Buck" Ardis; and two great-grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Ardis and Caitlin Ann Ardis. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Kirby; four brothers, David Hardin, John E. Hardin, Cecil Hardin and Lawton Hardin; and three sisters, Ella Bramlett, Marie Main and Annie Atkinson. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammie Geddings officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Grove Church cemetery.
