Hunter St. MADGE S. HOLLOMAN Madge Steen Holloman, 86, widow of Odell M. Holloman, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at a local nursing facility. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Clemmie Hancock Steen. Mrs. Holloman was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church and was retired from Belk Department Store. She graduated from high school in Sumter. Survivors include three sons, Odell Melvin Holloman (Kathy), W. Larry Holloman (Dianne) and Robert L. Holloman (Nancy), all of Sumter; a granddaughter, Ingrid Tyler (Randy); a grandson, Paul Holloman (Trish); two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; a nephew, Damon Haley of North Augusta; and a sister-in-law, Elma Radcliff of Sumter. She was preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Haley. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Northside Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Holley and Tommy Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Holloman, Eric Holloman, Heyward Holloman, Jerry Boseman, John Privette and Randy Tyler. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Holloman and members of the Mary Thea Sunday School Class of Northside Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday in the sanctuary of Northside Memorial Baptist Church and other times at the home, 128 E. Hunter St. Memorials may be made to Northside Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 1004 N. Main St., Sumter, SC 29150 or to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of NHC Healthcare of Sumter and the Tuomey Oncology Department for all of their care and compassion.
