Shriver, died Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born Oct. 26, 1932, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late James Purdy Nesbitt and Ida Logan Nesbitt. Survivors include three children, James "Jimmy" Shriver, Dickie Shriver (Nita) and Vickie Lynn Bethea (Randy), all of Sumter; three granddaughters, Samantha Hodge (Lance), Grace Taylor Bethea and Cindel Shriver; a great-grandchild, McKenlie Hodge; and a brother, Charles Nesbitt (Carol) of Sumter. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James P. Nesbitt Jr. and Brainard D. Nesbitt. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today in the Wells Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
