- Fathers obit said that Dale was living in Fremont, Nebraska at his death. Obituary for Dale E. Lahman- age 58, of Fremont, passed away July 23, 1996 at A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. He was born on August 18, 1937 in Fremont. Dale attended grade and high school in Fremont and after school, he worked for Doug’s Conoco in Fremont until going to work at the Fremont Department of Utilities in 1962 as a water supervisor. He worked there until his health failed. Dale was also in the National Guard for eight years from February 13, 1956 to February 12, 1964. He served in Company C 128th Engineer Battalion, Company C First Brigade 134th Infantry and 167th Quartermaster Company during his enrollment. On March 30, 1958 Dale married Joan Phinney in Fremont. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles #200 and the American Water Works Association. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Esther (Slaver) Lahman; brothers, Dean M. and Dwayne M. Lahman; sister Elaine Vavricek; and step-sisters Mrs. Ione Gustafson and Gladys (Mrs. Charles) Feichtinger. Survivors include: son, Larry and his wife, Kimberly Lahman of Omaha; daughter, Cindy (Mrs. Fred) Fritz of North Bend, Nebraska; sister, Karen (Mrs. Leslie) Domina of Fremont, Marian Row of Fremont and Marlene (Mrs Larry) Tuckerman of Lincoln, and seven grandchildren. Services were held July 26, 1996 at Rozanek and Son Colonial Chapel in Fremont. Pastor Donna Durrette of St. Michael Lutheran Church of Omaha officiated. Pallpearers were Larry Andreasen, Warren Sund, Dan Roberts, Charlie Rise, John Tlamka, Chuck Williamson, Dave Adler and Rick Coates. Burial was held in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Funeral home in charge of arrangements was Rozanek Colonial Chapel of Fremont. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
