WILCOX Posted Thursday, August 24, 2017 6:00 am Gladys Conyers Wilcox, 63, of Greene, New York, passed away on July 22, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Sumter County to the late Rosar Lee Conyers and Louise Connor Conyers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louila Cook; and a brother, Allen Conyers. Survivors include her husband, David Wilcox of Greene; brothers, R.L. Conyers (Paulette) and Ervin Conyers, both of Sumter; sisters, Linda Hodge and Delores Holiday (Tommy), both of Sumter, Annie Jean McGraw (Steve) of Atlanta and Marty Floyd Griggs (David) of Holly Hill, a niece who was raised as a sister; sister-in-law, Juanita Conyers of Cayce; and many other nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on Aug. 5, 2017, at Christ in Christian Union Church, New York. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Jefferson Road Free Will Baptist Church, 999 Jefferson Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Rusty Conyers officiating. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. preceding the service.  [3]
