| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina ELIZABETH ROBERTS AMERSON Posted Tuesday, January 12, 2021 6:00 am Elizabeth Roberts Amerson, age 77, beloved wife of the late Charlie Amerson, died on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Ben and Martha Jean Phillips Roberts. Elizabeth was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church. She was a fun-loving woman with a great personality and enjoyed working in her garden and growing flowers. She also enjoyed traveling and riding her motorcycle. Her true joy in life came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by four sons, James Deaton and his wife, Vicki, Labron Allen Parker, Larry Ross Parker and his wife, Robin, all of Sumter and Wayne Marshall Parker and his fiancйe, Brandi, of Turbeville; one daughter, Debbie Elaine Parker Tutton and her husband, Kevin, of Sumter; one brother, Ben Roberts III and his wife, Paulette, of Bethune; four sisters, Sue Watkins of Camden, Mickey Rummage and Kathy Davis and her husband, D.A., both of Monroe, and Fanny Davis and her husband, David, of Lugoff, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Clark officiating. Interment will follow the service at 1 p.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
