TURBEVILLE - Jamie Leigh Buddin and Douglas Edward Carmon were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Turbeville Southern Methodist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Sodusta Buddin, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Lee Wingard, the late James Davis Wingard, and Mr. and Mrs. Silas Bruce Buddin, all of Turbeville. She graduated from E.C. High School, Turbeville, and Betty Stevens Cosmetology School, Florence. She is employed by Tangles Hair Salon, Sumter. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Edward Carmon of Turbeville, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Koonoe, and the late Carl Legrand Carmon and the late Liza Elease Carmon. He graduated from East Clarendon High School. He is employed by Dish Network of Florence. Dr. Larry Crowe officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Mrs. Ashleigh Knowlton, organist; and Megan McDonald, vocalist. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory organza gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, intricate flower detailing and layered rufffles that flowed into a trumpet-shaped train. She carried a bouquet of hot pink roses, peonies and coffee berries. Devyn Youngblood served as maid of honor, with Mrs. Katherine Buddin Holmes as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Hope Baker, Nicole Carmon, Tara Coker, Maxilyn Lee and Leah Ward. Ashlynn Holmes served as flower girl. Kevin Carmon served as best man. Groomsmen were Mark Altman, Dustin Buddin, Blake Carmon, Brandon Cusaac, William Gibbons and Billy Henry. James McElveen served as ring bearer. Also particpating were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ward, Stephen Buddin, Mrs. Jewel Altman Rouse and Mrs. Nicole Craft. The bride's parents held the reception at Pine Grove Gym.
