Funeral of Mrs. Miller
Remains Taken to Ramer, Her Former Home, For Burial
The remains of Mrs. Laura McElvin Miller, wife of J.F. Miller, who died at 2 o'clock yesterday morning at her home on Columbus Street, was shipped to Ramer yesterday afternoon and interred in the family burial ground at the place. The deceased was 55 years of age. Mrs. Miller was born in Montgomery County, near Ramer, and had lived in Montgomery only eighteen months. She is survived by three sons, J.R. Miller, who is in the Phillipines, W.D.Miller, of Orion, and S.C. Miller of Ramer. Tow daughters also survived her, Miss Mary Miller and Miss Effie Miller of Montgomery. The following gentlemen acted as pall-bearers: O.A. Allen, W.H. Hudson, J.D. Gardner, John O. Carter, W.R.Waller, and Samuel J. Belser. Several of the pallbearers accompanied the remains to Ramer, where the funeral services were conducted at the grave by Elder J.M. Barnes of the First Christian Church of Montgomery. She was
buried on Aug 14 1906 in Ramer Cemetery, Ramer, Alabama.
