| HIST | Mae Creech Steedly BAMBERG — Mae Creech Steedly, 93, of 4600 Char-Augusta Road, Bamberg, was born November 30, 1916, in Barnwell, and died December 7, 2009, at The Methodist Oaks, Orangeburg. She was the daughter of the late Charlie S. Creech and the late Carrie Still Creech and was married to the late Barney Steedly. Mrs. Steedly was a member of First Baptist Church of Bamberg, had retired from the Bamberg County Courthouse, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking, and loved her church and Sunday School. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 10, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Bamberg, officiated by Rev. Dr. Aubrey Floyd. Burial will follow in Bamberg County Memory Gardens. Survivors are nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. in the Cooner Funeral Home chapel in Bamberg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, P.O. Box 355, Bamberg, SC 29003. Cooner Funeral Home of Bamberg is in charge of the arrangements.
