Floyd Eugene "Pete" Faulling
Floyd "Pete" Eugene Faulling WEST COLUMBIA - Floyd "Pete" Eugene Faulling, 86, of West Columbia, SC passed away at home peacefully with his family by his side on June 1, 2017. He was born in Orangeburg County, SC to the late Albert and Merchie Kizer Faulling. Pete enjoyed the outdoors, and his garden. He loved his God and was an active member at Platt Springs UMC. He will be missed by the many friends and families lives that he touched. Pete resided at Epworth Children's home from 1941-1951. He was a veteran and served in the Korean War in 1955. He was a barber for 25 years and retired from Carolina Eastman. Pete is survived by his daughter, Marybeth Wright of Springdale; son, Michael (Rachel) Faulling of Gilbert; his brother, Frances (Mary) Faulling of Orangeburg; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy H. Faulling; and several brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at Platt Springs United Methodist Church on June 5, 2017 from 1PM-2PM. Funeral services will be at 2PM on June 5, 2017 at Platt Springs UMC. Interment will be in Celestial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to The Shriners or Epworth Children's Home.
