The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard S. Marks of Sumter, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis W. Dameron and the late Dr. and Mrs. Samuel B. Marks. She graduated from Sumter High School in 2001, College of Charleston cum laude in 2006 with bachelor's degrees in French and religious studies, and Le Cordon Bleu Paris in 2009 with a pastry diploma. She is employed as a pastry chef at Hotel Vernet in Paris. The bridegroom is the son of M. and Mme. Emidio Roseiro of Paris, and the grandson of the late Sr. and Sra. Antonio Neto of Carvalhal-Atalaia, Portugal, and the late Sr. and Sra. Jose Fernandes Roseiro of Pias-Moncao, Portugal. He graduated from High School Lycee Racine in 1996, and Universite Pantheon-Assas Paris II in 2002 with a law degree and in 2004 with a master in droit social. He passed the Paris Bar Exam in 2004 and is an attorney at 140 VH Avocats in Paris. The Rev. David P. Keister officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by the acoustic trio Caravan, a French gypsy band. The bride was escorted by her father. Dr. Sarah Ruth Marks, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Reny Wilcher and Sara Ruth Bresee. Matthieu Henon served as best man. Groomsmen were Philippe Da Costa and Romain Pietri. The bride's parents held the reception at South Carolina Society Hall. A Sunday brunch was given by the bridegroom's parents at the restaurant Rue De Jean. The couple resides in Paris.
