| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina LOUISE L. CARRAWAY Posted Friday, October 23, 2015 6:00 am Louise Lomax Carraway, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at her home in Sumter. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Roma Britten Lomax and Florence Adline Yearwood Lomax. Mrs. Carraway was retired from the S.C. Department of Corrections. Surviving are one son, Wayne Carraway of Sumter; one daughter, Connie Lynn Johnson (Junior) of Effingham; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Marshall Carraway and Louie Carraway; a brother, George Lomax; and two sisters, Merle Hamlette and Lucille Alexander. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Greenville Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be sent to www.sumterfunerals.com.
