The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Henry Johnson Jr., the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Marten James Sr. and Ms. Ruth Cantey Johnson and the late Mr. James Henry Johnson Sr., all of Manning. He graduated from the University of South Carolina. He is employed by Residential Construction Management. The wedding is planned for Nov. 8, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church of Sumter.
