Culick, 62, husband of Linda Mathis Culick, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Lake City, he was a son of the late Herbert and Christine Hodge Culick. Mr. Culick retired from Singleton Steel. Survivors include his wife of 43 years; three children, Larry "Lee" Culick (Irene) of Sumter, Christy Dycus (John) of Summerville and Julie Mooney (Ron) of Sumter; and four grandchildren, Autumn Parnell, Joseph Culick, Allison Culick and Adam Mooney. He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Culick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Eddie Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Culick, 210 Trillium Lane, Sumter, SC 29154. Memorials may be made to Bible Fellowship Church, 227 Broad St., Sumter, SC 29150; or to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden St., Columbia, SC 29201-2392.
