ARD Mary Lee Wilson Ard, 89, widow of Isaac Ard, died Feb. 15, 2010, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Timmonsville, she was a daughter of the late Boyd Lissie Wilson and Bertha Elizabeth Edwards Wilson. Mrs. Ard was a member of Sumter First Original Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Boyd Ard and his wife, Shirley, of Jacksonville, Fla., J.M. Ard and his wife, Anita, of Manning and Steve Ard and his wife, Judy, of Sumter; a daughter, Patricia Morris and her husband, J.T., of Sumter; a brother, David Wilson of Columbia; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Woodrow Wilson; and two sisters, Maude White and Beatrice Alsbrooks. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Gary Ard, Rusty Ard, David Ard, Richie Morris, Jay Morris, Troy Ard, Steven Ard and Jimmy Giles. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
