  HIST	Kenneth J. Alexander Kenneth Jerry Alexander, 69, husband of Annette Johnson Alexander, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Thompson, Ga., he was a son of the late Willie Joe Alexander and Ruth Crumpton Deason. Mr. Alexander was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He retired from Campbell’s Soup Co. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of Sumter; two children, Tony Alexander (Susan) of Turbeville and Ann Griffin (Gary) of Sumter; three stepchildren, Marie Amerson (Timmy) of Sumter, Carl Thames (Ioana) of Manning and Mary Elizabeth Davis (Todd) of Alcolu; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Larry Alexander (Patty) of Alabama. Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Frierson Alexander. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Mosier officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Riggs, Timmy Riggs, Donnie Riggs, Will Riggs, Johnny Mims and Jimmy Britton. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Concord Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church Building Fund, 1885 Myrtle Beach Hwy., Sumter, SC 29153.
