RICHBURG PINEWOOD - Howard Jackson "Jackie" Richburg, 67, husband of Jean Graham Richburg, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at a local nursing facility. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Charleton L. and Hallie Hodge Richburg. He retired from Black River Electric Coop. after 33 years of service and attended Pinewood United Methodist Church. Survivors besides his wife of Pinewood include two children, Joey Anderson Jr. (Tammy) and Jennifer Russell (William), both of Sumter; four grandchildren, William Russell III, Ryan Russell, Joey "Trey" Anderson III and Adam Anderson; a brother, Patrick Richburg Sr. (Sylvia) of Sumter; and three sisters, Verlin Wingate and Gladys Avery (Dutch), both of Sumter, and Violet Powell of Gresham. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pinewood Cemetery with the Rev. Mickey Bell, the Rev. Richard A. Broomall and the Rev. Buddy Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 204 West Ave. North, Pinewood. Memorials may be made to the Pinewood UMC Young Ladies' Circle, P.O. Box 135, Pinewood, SC 29125. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
