Born Nov. 29, 1970, in Sumter, he was a son of Frances Jean Welch Hallman and the late Vernon Michael Hallman. Mr. Hallman was a member of Zoar Church. He worked with Sumter Utilities Inc. as a truck driver and dispatcher. He enjoyed fishing and caring for his ducks and chickens. Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include three children, Michael V. Hallman II (Michael Dunn), Emily K. Stogner (Dylan) and Lauren Grace Hallman; two grandchildren, Kylie Jade Stogner and Robert Kolson Stogner; one brother, Jason K. Hallman (Georgia Stokes); three nephews, Keith Hallman, Deshown Stokes and Diondre Stokes; and a niece, Aaliyah Stokes. A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel officiated by the Rev. Allen Johnson. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Lamb, Henry Benenhaley, Michael Hallman II, Travis Boykin, Brandon Mims and Chris Mims. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
