In the same order books p. 161 dtd 14 June 1764....."The last will and testament of James Singleton was presented in Court by Mary Singleton, executrix therein named......." answers some of your question. My guess [Note..."guess" George] is that James & Cornelius could have been minor Children of James &
Mary in 1764. (This is the same James, who with his brother Robert, lived in Amelia Co. for a decade. These 2 brothers are often incorrectly associatred with the Singletons of Brunswick Co.).
Gary Singleton
PS I find it amusing that on P.59 of the OB of Caroline Co dtd 13 July 1759 that Christopher & Sarah take opposite sides in the Slander Case of Francis Hundley against Wm and Mary Stephens. |
