| HIST | of Dalzell, South Carolina Posted on Mon, Jul. 14, 2008 Agnes Smith Bradham DALZELL — Services for Agnes Smith Bradham, 91, of Dalzell, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Rev. Butch Powell, Rev. John Platt and Rev. Junior Jacobs. Burial will be held at 4:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery Park, Sumter, SC. The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Red Bank Baptist, 120 Community Drive, Lexington, SC 29073. Mrs. Bradham, widow of Lawrence S. Bradham, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008. Born in Saluda County, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Beulah Adams Smith. Mrs. Bradham had been a lifelong Sumter County resident and a member of Dalzell Baptist Church. She was involved in mission work and taught children’s classes. She truly exhibited the fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, goodness and self control. She exuded the love of Jesus! Mrs. Bradham retired from the Sumter County School District after many years of loyal service. She was an avid cook and a loving and caring wife and precious mother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her daughters, Jean Smith of Lexington and Linda Bradham of Sumter; sister, Annie Myrtle Casey of Laurens; brother and sister-in-law, Grover C. and Miriam Smith of Laurens; sister-in-law, Anna Lou Bradham of Sumter; brother-in-law, Red Dunn of Columbia; our special family friend, Mr. Mike Michaels; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins that she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Smith, and three sisters, Madrid Fincher, Lois Garrett and Angell Baldwin. The family wishes to acknowledge with special thanks the loving care our Moma received from the Brian Center Nursing Care - St. Andrews.
