Glenn was born on Dec. 21, 1942, in Sumter. He is survived by his wife, Jane Poplin; seven children; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 10360 U.S. 78 East, Summerville, SC 29483 with a visitation before at noon. Arrangements by Simplicity Lowcountry. Obituary of Glenn Arland Poplin Glenn Arland Poplin, 78, left us on August 23, 2021 with family by his side in Charleston, SC.   Glenn was born on December 21, 1942 in Sumter, SC to Felder and Eva Poplin.   Glenn enjoyed the simple things in life and spent most of his time surrounded by family.  He was a beloved husband, dad and Papa.   He is survived by his wife, Jane Poplin of 54 years and seven children; Wendell and Kayne Poplin of Sumter, Arland and Amanda Poplin of Sumter, Samantha and David Williams of Summerville, Cindy and Bobby Veronee of Givhans, Molly and Jason Watkins of Givhans, Johnny and Amanda Poplin of Summerville, Bonnie and Joseph Kowalski of Summerville.   Glenn is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.   A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church located at 10360 Highway 78 East, Summerville, SC 29483.  Anyone wishing to visit with the family may do so at 12:00 noon before the memorial service.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.     To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Glenn Poplin, please visit Tribute Store  [1, 2]
