| HIST | of Pinewood, South Carolina 1866 Ardis Road, Pinewood, South Carolina PEARL ARDIS Posted Sunday, December 16, 2018 6:00 am Pearl Anderson Ardis, 89, widow of Charles L. Ardis, died Dec. 14, 2018, at National Health Care in Sumter. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Meddie Anderson. Mrs. Ardis was a lifelong member of Pinewood Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Phillip Ardis (Mary Jo) of Pinewood; a daughter, Robin Ardis Geddings (Wesley) of Athens, Georgia; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Therman Anderson of Kentucky and Herbert Anderson, Jr. of Sumter; and a sister, Pat Vause of Florence. She was predeceased by two sons, Charles Frank Ardis and an infant son; a brother, Kenneth Anderson; four sisters, Mae Belle Floyd, Rosalee Floyd, Gail Tedder and Dorothy Graham Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pinewood Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Gray and Rev. Bennie Barwick officiating. Pallbearers will be Leslie McIntosh, Richard Jenkinson, Wallace Anderson, Douglas Anderson, Tony Anderson and Steve Barwick. Burial will be in Weeks Cemetery, Pinewood. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Pinewood Baptist Church.
