Prescott Sr. entered eternal rest Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, in Rahway, N.J. He was born June 9, 1924, in Dalzell, to the late James and Rosanna Prescott. Mr. Prescott is survived by his wife, Alice Prescott; two daughters, Peggy (Gordon) Robinson and Florence (Edward) Joe; a son, Daniel B. (Doris) Prescott Jr.; a son-in-law, Bernard Morgan; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy "Pat" Morgan. Visitations will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Barnettsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Montgomery, pastor, and Daniel B. Prescott Jr., eulogist. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Wilson's Funeral Home, 403 S. Main St., Bishopville, is in charge of arrangements. [1] | |
