The bride is the daughter of Ms. Kimalah "Kim" T. Atkinson of Sumter and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph "Jody" N. Atkinson Jr. of Darlington, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Patricia "Patsy" Tomlinson and the late Kleim L. Tomlinson, Harold Thompson and the late Mrs. Kathleen A. Thompson, the late Joseph N. Atkinson Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. George Hammond and Mr. and Mrs. Al Waldrop. She graduated from Winthrop University with a bachelor of science degree in exercise science. She is employed by Accenture in Charlotte, N.C. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Schroeder of Lake Wiley, and the grandson of Mrs. Lura V. Schroeder and the late Jim Schroeder and Capt. Robert H. Rogers, all of Virginia Beach, Va. He graduated from Winthrop University with a bachelor of science degree in exercise science and a master of science in sport and fitness administration. The Rev. Ron Bower officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Mary Della Anderson, pianist; and Mr. and Mrs. Marty Atkinson, vocalists. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless taffeta gown featuring a beaded bodice and side drape with lace appliques, a corset back and a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of hydrangea, roses, Gerbera daisies and lisianthus with the wedding rings of late grandparents and great-grandparents attached in their memory. Elizabeth J. Atkinson, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Anna Grace Atkinson, sister of the bride, served as junior maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandlyn S. Baker, Allison Beinor, C. Elizabeth Boatwright and Alysja S. Garansi. Rylee E. Field served as flower girl. James D. Schroeder, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Joseph "Trace" N. Atkinson III, brother of the bride, C. Randy Buffington, William V. DeLongis III, Carl J. Krimminger and Nick J. Minter. Gabriel D. Schroeder served as ring bearer. Also participating were Kelsey Seymour, Katie Seymour, Lindsey Tomlinson and Jonah Tomlinson. The bride's parents held the reception at the Darlington Country Club. The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents at Bazen's Family Restaurant in Florence. Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in the Charlotte area.
