The bride is the daughter of the late Carl and Frances Pilgrim, and the granddaughter of the late Clarence and Edna Pilgrim and the late Eugene and Janie Gillespie, all of Six Mile. She graduated from Winthrop College with a degree in early childhood education and from Clemson University with a master's in education. She is employed by Ben Lippen School, Columbia. The bridegroom is the son of Nelle Kirby Player and the late Cleland Blain Player Jr., and the grandson of the late Cleland Blain Player Sr. and Elizabeth Coskrey Player and Hazel Eugene Kirby and Marie Davis Kirby, all of Bishopville. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in agricultural education and a master's degree in PRTM and is employed with the university. The Revs. Marcus Dodson, Irvin Plowden and Dan Rummel officiated the ceremony. Tina Winchester served as maid of honor, with Mrs. Amanda Maybach as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Carolyn Bolding and Cindy Watson, and Dot Pilgrim, sister-in-law of the bride. Cleland Blain Player III, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Dean Kubacz, Randy Dempsey, Brian Roberts and Kevin Motyka. Music was provided by John "Bo" Dickinson, pianist; and Mary Bryant, Cindy Wyatt and Andrew Berdin, vocalists. The reception was held at The Columbia Museum of Art. Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Clemson. [2] | |
