She was born November 16, 1937, in Sumter County to Charles Harry Truluck, Sr. and Lonie Huff Truluck. She was a graduate of Timmonsville High School and attended Coker College. She married James W. “Jimmy” Godwin, and worked as a payroll clerk for many years on the Lake City tobacco market. Mr. and Mrs. Godwin also worked together for many years in their own business. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Godwin was a member of Lake City United Methodist Church and is survived by her sons, Michael T., and James W. Godwin, II and his wife, Mary; a brother, Dr. Charles Harry Truluck, Jr. and his wife, Elaine; four grandchildren, Ashley, Walker, Will and Johnathan Godwin; a great-grandson; Braydon Crew. Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday, January 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Floyd Funeral Home and other times at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 18 in Lake City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lake City United Methodist Church, P.O.
