Born in Sumter, he was a son of Sara Emma Stone Vining and the late Cecil Eugene Vining. Mr. Vining attended Open Bible Baptist Church. He was employed as a mechanic. Surviving are his mother of Sumter; a brother, Allen E. Vining of Mount Pleasant; a sister, Suzanne Stone Cawrse of Elyria, Ohio; a niece, Katie Vining; and a nephew, Jacob Vining. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Durham officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 170 Old Manning Road.
