  1778-1779 (Jury)_Camden District, Grand Jurors of Eastward of Wateree Listed "Gabriel FITZGERALD". Also listed were James RICHBOURG, Claud. RICHBOURG and Henry RICHBOURG. (Source: "The Jury List of SC", Hendrix, page 44) (Note: It appears there is some proof to the rumor that the Geralds were once "Fitzgeralds." Gabriel's son married the daughter of James Richbourg. Claudius and Henry were James' brothers. Looking over deeds and notes, etc. it appears that the Richbourg family was close to Gabriel Gerald, even before the marriage of his son, William, uniting both families.)
