McCOY BISHOPVILLE -- Lola Kelly McCoy, 79, widow of Leland McCoy, died March 25, 2009, at McCoy Nursing Center. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Ashby Melton Kelley and Mamie Holland Kelley. Mrs. McCoy was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Robin Marie McCoy and Kelly McCoy; a brother, Pat Kelley (Mary Lou) of Orangeburg; a sister, Leconia Baker of Bishopville; three grandchildren, Edward Cobet Parnell III (Rhonda Parnell), Anna Maria Parnell and Jamie Lynn Parnell, DVM; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Riggins, Taylor Riggins, Edward Cobet Parnell IV and James Parnell; and several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Rickey Howell officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home.
